I have designed a guidescope mount for the ETX-90 that does not require any fancy machining. The parts were purchased from OnlineMetals. The parts I ordered from them were cut close enough to the desired size to work without modification. I ordered the smaller stock in one foot lengths. The parts required were:
All material 6061-T6 Aluminum flat bar stock, except as noted.
2 ea 1/4 x 6 x 4

2 ea 1/4 x 2 x 2
2 ft 1/4 x 1
1 ft 2 x 2 x 0.125 6063-T52 Angle
1 ft 3/8 round natural Nylon
1 ft 3/8 round 2011-T3 Aluminum
The total cost of this order was about US$50.00 (July/2001).
I also went to the local Builderīs Supply and picked up a 1/4" round aluminum, and a 6-32 UNC all-thread. That was another US$5.00.
